The University Information Security Office is the central contact for all computer and network security and abuse issues at Georgetown University.

Computer & Network Security Incidents

E-mail us at security@georgetown.edu or call us at (202) 687-3031 to report a security attack directed at your computing resources or to notify us of a compromise of the Georgetown network.

If your computer is stolen or lost, contact the Department of Public Safety first at 202-687-4343. Then contact us at security@georgetown.edu.

Online Harassment & Abuse

To report an incident of online harassment or abuse, send an e-mail message to abuse at georgetown.edu. Make sure to include log files, with your time zone information, or complete message headers.

Copyright Infringement

To report an act of copyright infringement on the Georgetown network under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), please contact the university's DMCA Agent.

Spam

To report unsolicited bulk e-mail sent from or relayed through a Georgetown computer, forward the e-mail message to spam at georgetown.edu.

Physical Security

If you are a Georgetown student and have questions or concerns about your physical security and well-being, please contact the Department of Public Safety at (202) 687-4343, or DC Police at (202) 727-1000. If you feel that you are being threatened and need immediate assistance, please dial 911.
