Public Service Notice – Zoom Security Flaw

Update (July 11, 2019)

Zoom released an emergency patch and Apple has announced that they have employed a silent software update that removes a web server component of the Zoom. 

UIS has also pushed out this repair to all university managed Apple computers.  Over the next few days UIS will also update the Zoom software on all university Windows and Apple computers to the most current version available. 

What you should do:

• UIS recommends installing all Apple and Windows software updates as soon as they are released to address any potential security vulnerabilities.
