October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month!

As we bring National Cyber Security Awareness Month to a close, we’d like to thank you all your doing your part in protecting Georgetown and yourself from all the threats that put us and our data at risk.

We have seen a dramatic increase in Duo enrollments.  Over 60% of Georgetown staff have already enrolled in Duo. That’s amazing, but our work is not done yet. We need to get that to 100%.

Cyber Security is one of the top priorities of the University. We owe it to our students, our colleagues, and ourselves to do all we can to minimize our exposure to thieves and other bad actors out there.  In that effort, Georgetown is requiring Duo authentication for its employees, including all University-compensated faculty, staff and students.  So be aware that UIS will be enforcing this in December, so please take the time to enroll now if you haven’t already.
